Joseph⁵ SUTTON (Zebulon⁴, Patience³ MARTIN, John², John¹) was born in Bernards Township, Somerset County, New Jersey July 9, 1747.⁽³¹⁷⁾ Joseph died November 8, 1822 in Mendham Township, Morris County, New Jersey at 75 years of age.⁽³¹⁸⁾ He was interred November 1822 in Mendham Township, Morris County, New Jersey.⁽³¹⁹⁾

He married Martha PIERSON April 14, 1778 in Hanover, Morris County, New Jersey.⁽³²⁰⁾ Martha was born July 12,1754 in Bridgehampton, Suffolk County, New York.⁽³²¹⁾ Martha died September 12, 1842 in Mendham Township, Morris County, New Jersey at 88 years of age.⁽³²²⁾ She was interred September 1842 in Mendham Township, Morris County, New Jersey.⁽³²³⁾

Joseph SUTTON and Martha PIERSON had the following children:

Uriah⁶ SUTTON was born in Mendham Township, Morris County, New Jersey March 28, 1779.⁽³²⁴⁾ Uriah died June 18, 1857 in Mendham Township, Morris County, New Jersey at 78 years of age.⁽³²⁵⁾ He was interred June 1857 in Mendham Township, Morris County, New Jersey.⁽³²⁶⁾ He married Anna HOWELL January 25, 1807.⁽³²⁷⁾ Anna was born circa 1785. Anna died June 13, 1842 in Morris County, New Jersey at 56 years of age.⁽³²⁸⁾ She was interred June 1842 in Mendham Township, Morris County, New Jersey.⁽³²⁹⁾

295 iii. Rebecca SUTTON was born in Mendham Township, Morris County, New Jersey June 2, 1783.⁽³³⁰⁾ She married Luther CONKLING August 11, 1803.⁽³³¹⁾

+ 296 iv. Jonathan SUTTON was born February 13, 1787.

297 v. Elizabeth Ann SUTTON was born in Mendham Township, Morris County, New Jersey June 19, 1789.⁽³³²⁾ She married William BABBITT June 19, 1811.⁽³³³⁾

298 vi. Martha Lupton SUTTON was born in Mendham Township, Morris County, New Jersey September 27, 1792.⁽³³⁴⁾ She married Aaron CARSON February 27, 1812.⁽³³⁵⁾ Aaron died February 20, 1823.⁽³³⁶⁾
