5. Joseph² MARTIN (John¹) was born in Dover, New Hampshire circa 1652.

He married Sarah TROTTER November 25, 1679 in Piscataway, New Jersey.⁽³⁶⁾

Joseph MARTIN and Sarah TROTTER had the following children:

+ 38 i. James³ MARTIN was born December 14, 1680.

+ 39 ii. Joseph MARTIN was born February 22, 1682/3.

40 iii. Abigail MARTIN was born in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey January 21, 1690/1.⁽³⁷⁾ Abigail died January 19, 1693/4 in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey at 2 years of age.⁽³⁸⁾ She was interred January 1693/4 in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey.

+ 41 iv. David MARTIN was born July 8, 1696.

+ 42 v. Joshua (Josiah) MARTIN was born November 21, 1698.

+ 43 vi. Moses MARTIN was born February 19, 1700/1.
