BRATTLEBORO -- Burt Jasper Boyd, 68, died Thursday, Nov. 17, at Eden Park Nursing Home in Brattleboro.

Mr. Boyd was born in Wilmington on March 27, 1937, the son of Jasper George Boyd and Laura Fatima (Moulton) Boyd.

He grew up on the family farm with his nine brothers and sisters. During his life, he worked in the lumber and restaurant industries and enjoyed automobiles and target shooting.

He is survived by his daughters, Melodee Boyd and Georgia Boyd, both of Brattleboro; sisters, Leola Garland of Spofford, N.H., Shirley Franklin of Guilford, and Mildred Stark of Shelburne Falls, Mass.; his three brothers, Francis Boyd of Hinsdale, N.H., Thomas Boyd of Whitingham and Ralph Boyd of North Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Irene and their infant child; his parents; two brothers and a sister.

Family and friends are invited to attend a service for Mr. Boyd on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Boyd Cemetery in Whitingham.
