ABIGAIL EMELINE HARRIS, daughter of Jonathan W. Harris and
Abigail C. CRACRAFT/CRACROFT was born in Richland County in 1843.
She went with her parents to Sauk County, Wisconsin in 1846,
being only three years old. She married Wilson HOOD 19 Jan
1865 by whom she had three children. They removed to Iowa
soon after their marriage and operated a country store. Mr
Hood was postmaster and ran a creamery. They returned to
Spring Green at a few years and Mr. Hood worked for the
Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad Company.

LUCY ADALINE HARRIS, daughter of Jonathan W. Harris and
Abigail C. CRACROFT was born in Richland County, Ohio in 1845
and was just a baby when her parents went to Sauk County,
Wisconsin in 1846. After the death of her mother, who died in
1860, she went to live with her sister, Mrs. Thomas McDill,
at Plover, Wisconsin. She lived with her brother A.L. Harris
for a time and engaged in the occupation of a nurse. She
married Francis L. TWIST a widower with one child and moved
to St. Peters, Minnesota in 1888. They had one son.

JOSEPH HENRY HARRIS, son of Jonathan W. Harris and Abigail C.
CRACROFT was born in Sauk County, Wisconsin in 1847. When he
was only seventeen years of age, with consent of his father,
he enlisted in the Third United States Calvary, where he
served until the close of the war. His services were most-ly
on the frontier, in Missouri and Kansas, and the Indian
Territory. He married Frances HAMILTON in Helena, Montana. He
was taken sick and died in Hot Springs, Arkansas in July,
1882.

HENRY HARRIS, son of John Wesley Harris and Sarah J.
ANDERSON was born in Sauk County, in 1861. He married Ida
WALKER of Mitchell County, Kansas in March 1886.

SARAH HARRIS, daughter of John Wesley Harris and Sarah J.
ANDERSON was born in Sauk County, Wisconsin in 1856. She
married in Mitchell County, Kansas William LOUDERMILK.
They live near Glen Elder, Kansas and have one son."

THE HARRIS FAMILY

HELEN ISOLETTE HARRIS, daughter of William H. Harris and
Dorothy BENSON was born 30 July 1866 in Spring Green, WI.
She married 10 Dec 1890 Frank A. FOSS who was born on 30 July
1866 the same day as Helen. Frank was born in Dellona, Sauk
County, Wisconsin son of John FOSS and Minnie SPRINGER.
Frank died 18 Jan 1921 in LaCrosse, WI., and Helen died 26
Dec 1957/58.

PHEBE HAMILTON HARRIS, daughter of John Harris and Mary
HAMILTON was born in Amwell Township, Washington County,
Pennsylvania. She married Alexander POOL of Richland County,
Ohio 5 June 18211. They removed to Hardin County, Ohio where
they remained the balance of their lives. Mr Pool was born 15
July 1799 and died 24 Dec 1881. Phebe died 14 May 1878. They
had eight children, six sons and two daughters. Phoebe was
born 10 May 1802. Both are buried in Good Hope Cemetery,
Jackson Township, Wyandot County, Ohio.

THE HARRIS FAMILY

JONATHAN HARRIS POOL, son of Alexander Pool and Phebe H.
Harris was born in Richland County, Ohio. He married in
Hardin County, Sarah RUSSELL by whom he had two sons. His
wife died and he married a second time to a Martha SOUTHARD
or SOUTH. She also died young and he married for a third
time Mollie McCORMIC by whom he had two daughters. Mr Pool
was a blacksmith and moved to Monroe, Wisconsin.

After the great fire in Chicago in 1871 he moved to Chicago
but left after a year. He then went to Emmettsburgh, Iowa for
a time and finally settled in Marion Junction, Dakota

WILLIAM F. POOL, son of Alexander Pool and Phebe H. Harris
was born in Richland County, Ohio 2 Feb 1824. He married
Phebe Delphina RUSSELL 15 March 1848. She died the following
year 11 March 1849. He married for a second time to Margaret
Alice MOORE 15 August 1850. She died 26 July 1851. He married
for a third time, Sarah Maria COLLINS 22 July 1852 and had a
family of eight children. His third wife died 3 April 1876,
and he married still another time to Mrs. Mary M. VANCE 24
July 1878. Mr Pool was engaged in the business of manu-
facturing carriages and wagons in Kenton, Ohio. Mr Pool died
in 1905 in Kenton, Ohio. Martha was his daughter by Phoebe,
the twins were by Margaret, and the last six children were by
Sarah.

COLLINS was born in Hardin County, Ohio and married Thomas
ELDER 20 May 1880 by whom she has had one child.

MADELAINE RUTH FOSS, daughter of Frank A. Foss and Helen I.
Harris was born 20 June 1892 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. She
married John "Jack" Almon LUND 21 Aug 1915 in Reedsburg. He
was born 8 Mar 1886 in Blue Mound, Wisconsin, son of Iver B.
LUND (1852-1933) and Annie ANMARKRUD (1856-1941). Jack died
28 Jan 1971 and Madelaine died 27 June 1988, both in St.
Paul, Minnesota.

JOHN POOL, son of Alexander Pool and Phebe H. HARRIS was born
in Richland County, Ohio 29 Jly 1828. He married Elizabeth
GRAHAM 27 Sept 1853 in Hardin County, Ohio. Ohio, by whom he
had three children. His wife died young and he married for a
second time to Laura LATHAM 27 Nov 1860 by whom he had one
child. Laura died and he married for a third time to Margaret
STENSON or STEVENSON by whom he had six children. These
births may not be listed quite right. The third wife may have
been Della, who died 22 Oct 1895. (Hardin County Death

in Richland County, Ohio 15 Nov 1830. He married Lucretia F.
FROST 11 Jan 1858 in Wyandot County, Ohio. She died young and
he married Mary Jane DAVIS 7 Feb 1860 in Marion County, Ohio
by whom he had five children. Elza enlisted as Corporal in
Company A., 144th Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Civil
War. He died 11 Dec 1901 at the Soldiers and Sailors Home,
Sandusky, Ohio. He is buried at Good-Hope, Jackson Township,
Wyandot, County, OH

JAMES BYRON POOL,(1) son of Alexander Pool and Phebe H. HARRIS
was born in Hardin County, Ohio, and married Sarah Modestia
WOODARD 15 October 1856 and had one child. Sarah died 1 Feb
1859 and Mr. Pool married for a second time to Mary Eliza
BOYER 12 September 1862. He served eight months with Co. G,
Fourth Regiment, OVI with no engagements. Then he re-enlisted
with Co. C, second Missouri Calvary as First Sargeant and
participated in the battle of Pierces Mills, Moore's Mills,
Kirksville, and Little Rock. It was he who inherited the farm
of Alexander and Phoebe, his parents.

HARRIS was born in Hardin County, Ohio 13 May 1836. She
married Jeremiah "Jerry" KRASHER 21 Aug 1856, by whom she had

CHARLES MADISON POOL, son of Alexander Pool and Phebe H.
HARRIS was born in Hardin County, Ohio. He married Adelia
SHERMAN 1 September 1869 by whom he has three children, of
whom only one is living. Mr. Pool served in Merrill's Horse
Cavalry during the Civil War and was a blacksmith. They lived
in Monroe, Wisconsin.

ROSCOE WILLIS POOL, son of Elza Pool and Mary Jane DAVIS was
born 11 Nov 1860 in Kenton, Ohio. He married 6 Oct 1881
Charlotte Sibilia COLE in Crawford County, Ohio. Roscoe was a
Street car conductor, a teacher, and a farmer. Roscoe and
Charlotte had three children. He died 1 Feb 1941 in
Valparaiso, Indiana.

"Edie" MICKLESON. Harry died 25 July 1935 in Fort Wayne,
Indiana. He is buried in the Wiltsie cemetery in Payne, Ohio.
He was a farmer, a lumberjack, and a railroad car repairman.
Harry and Edie had seven children.

GAST MARTIN a widow. She died and Marvin married Grace LUTHER
1931. No children by either marriage. Marvin was in World War
II, private, S.A.T.C. He was part owner of Pool-Arnold, a
candy distributer. He died 6 Dec 1947 in Valparaiso, Indiana,
buried at Graceland, Valparaiso, Indiana. He was always known
as "Gail".

ROLLO WAYNE POOL, son of Roscoe W. Pool and Charlotte S. COLE
was born 19 Aug 1897 in Long Point, Illinois. He married
Blanche C. RECKTENWELL 10 July 1917 in St. Joseph, Michigan.
On 19 Nov 1965 he married Jenelle THATCHER at Valparaiso.
Indiana. He was part owner of Pool-Arnold Co., candy dis-
tributer. He died 4 Nov 1976 in Valparaiso, Indiana. He is
buried at Graceland in Valparaiso. Rollo and Blanche had
three children.

Dec 1962 in Streator, Illinois, and is buried at Riverview
cemetery in Streator. Lloyd and Lottie had three children.

MARVIN P. BRADLEY, son of Edmond J.C. Bradley and Edith Poole
was born 16 Jan 1913. He married Dorothy Mary Jones 21 Feb
1942. They had three children. Marvin was in the 14th Air
Force during World War II. He was a cartoonist and drew the
Rex Morgan, M.D. Comic Strip character. He died 10 Jan 1986
