Richard, Just thought I would pass along the obit of Earl Orville Westbrook. Earl was my cousin and therefore a relative of yours. Earl's father was Orville Westbrook, my mother's brother. Orville's father was James Lafayette; James Lafayette's father was Lemuel James; Lemuel James' parents were Alfred and Sarah Wise Westbrook. Donna Wills Earl Orville Westbrook May 19, 1918 - July 24, 2004 A funeral service for Earl Orville Westbrook, 86, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chris Frye officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens. Mr. Westbrook passed away July 24, 2004, at the Heritage House at Newark Healthcare. He was born May 19, 1918, in Newark, to the late Orville and Flora (Eaton) Westbrook. Mr. Westbrook was a retired product inspector with Owens Corning. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Earl was a member of the Neal Avenue United Methodist Church, and a member of the Licking County Aging Senior Citizen Band, along with being an avid Buckeye Fan and banjo and organ player. Earl leaves behind his son, Ron Westbrook, of Hebron; daughters, Judy Brown, of Newark, and Cathy Baker, of Newark; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Earl is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Hazel; one brother; and one grandchild. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. |
