"We don't know when the house was built, but estimate it was ca. 1890s.  Maurice sold the house to Pliny in 1924 (if I remember correctly) for $1.  Maurice sold it to Bloomfield College in 1950s, again for $1. My understanding is that Pliny was a church elder at the church where the College is situated. Much of the rehab work we're doing, I suspect, is fixing the results of the structure being used as a college dorm. It's a grand house that retains much of it's character. We're committed to returning to its past glory.  We even have the original blueprints with Maurice's signature affixed, apparently as his approval. In addition, we have the 1914 blueprints for a three-story addition."
