Sarah Ethel Conn Basford, 83, of 433 Heritage Place, Morehead, KY passed away Tuesday November 2, 2010 at her daughter's residence in Morehead.
Born July 16, 1927 in Bath County, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Martha Melinda Flannery Conn and was the widow of the late Will Henry Basford. She was a former employee of the Morehead News and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include 3 daughters, 1 son one, brother Sidney Conn , 9 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren.i remember when ever we stopped by for a visit she would cook up a big diner the table would be loaded down , i remember the men folk would be outside working on a car changing a motor or transmission, it seemed everyone in the family was good mechanics i did not know her name was sara every body called her jean and she had an accent all her own, i liked to hear her talk. she is the girl on far right of home page.here is a few old photos of jean.
