Dora was buried at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville, Blair County, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Dora C. Brubaker, the longest living continuous resident of Carson Valley, diedat Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.She was born in Carson Valley, daughter of the late John and Florence Yingling Turnbaugh. She married Earnest B. Brubaker June 29, 1931, in Cumberland, Md. He died Jan. 24, 1978.She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis M; a brother, James L; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by children Helen and Kenneth; siblings, Christina Irene, Bertha and Charles.

She is survived by three sons, Ron, Tom and Chris, and brothers, Clyde, Donald and Paul. She also leaves five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. Burial was in Duncasville, Pa.

Levi Hoover was born on 1-Feb-1861 at Blair County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Jacob W. Hoover and Susanna Ann Shadle. Levi married Mary Jane Strayer on 5-May-1897 at Roaring Spring, Blair County, Pennsylvania. Levi married Alice Rebecca Burkhart, daughter of Thomas Gabriel Burkhart and Mary A. Miller, on 13-Apr-1910. Levi Hoover died on 26-Mar-1952 at Blair County, Pennsylvania, at age 91.
LEVI HOOVER, a well known agriculturist of Allegheny Township, Blair County, Pa., where he owns seventy-six acres of land, sixty-one of which comprises his home farm, was born in this township, February 1, 1861, and is a son of Jacob W. and Susanna (Shadel) Hoover.
Jacob W. Hoover was born in Blair County and was about eighteen months old when his father died. His mother later married a Mr. Brown and when he was eleven years old he accompanied his mother and step-father to Indiana County, Pa., where he remained until he was seventeen years of age. He then returned to Blair County and engaged in farm work and finally settled on the place now owned by his son, Levi Hoover. He was a very worthy man and in his death Allegheny Township lost a good citizen. He was married twice, his first wife being a Miss Rice and they had one daughter, Maria, now deceased. His second union was with Susanna Shadel and they had a large family, of which the following children survive: Levi; Jemima, who is the wife of William G. Diehl, of Juniata County, Pa; John W., who lives in Indiana County, Pa; George W., who resides at Duncansville; Ellen; Mary E., who is the wife of Samuel R. Clapper, of Allegheny Township; Sarah A., who is the wife of Alexander Brubaker, of Allegheny Township; Blair S. and Jacob W., both of whom live in Allegheny Township; and Nancy, who is the wife of Edward Wyant, living near Duncansville. Jacob W. Hoover was a member of the German Baptist church.
Levi Hoover grew to man's estate in Allegheny Township and has always resided in this very desirable part of Blair County. His business has been farming and he has carried it on with the thoroughness which has brought him prosperity.
Mr. Hoover was married for the first time, May 5, 1897, to Mary J. Strayer, of near Roaring Springs, Pa., who died December 17, 1907. They had four children: Brice D., Jacob W., Grace L. and Sarah C. Mr. Hoover married for his second wife, Mrs. Alice Brubaker, on April 13, 1910. Her father was Thomas Burkhart, of Allegheny Township and she was first married to Wesley Brubaker, who left four children: Homer, Ross, Eva and Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Hoover are members of the Carson Valley German Baptist Church, in which he is serving as a deacon. He takes no very active part in politics but casts his
vote with the Republican party.

Aged Retired Carson Valley Farmer Dies
Levi Hoover, 91, oldest resident of Carson valley and oldest member of the Church of the Brethren there, died at his home near the head of the valley at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon after a week's illness. He had engaged in farming all his life. Mr. Hoover was born Feb. 1, 1861 in the house in which he died, a son of Jacob and Suzanne (Shadle) Hoover.
A life member of the Carson valley Church of the Brethren, he had served as a deacon of the congregation for more than 60 years.
Mr. Hoover was twice married, his first wife, Mrs. Mary (Strayer) Hoover, dying in 1907. In 1910 he married Alice(Burkhart) Brubaker, who survives. Fourteen children were raised in the Hoover home. Surviving, in addition to Mrs. Hoover, are children born to the first marriage: Brice of Cross Keys, Jacob of Lakemont, Mrs. Grace Snyder of Akron, O., and Mrs. Catherine Ingram of California; and
children born to the second marriage: Mrs. May Tierney of Altoona, George, Mrs. Olive Beard, Mrs. Beatrice Shultz and Dean S. Hoover, all of Carson Valley: three step-children from Sylvester Brubaker and Alice, Homer Brubaker of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Eva Merrits of Carson valley and Nelson Brubaker of near Burns underpass; 32 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Liebegott funeral home, Duncansville, from 7 o'clock this evening until noon Saturday and thereafter at the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren.
