Agricola



This family, belonging to the Swedish unintrocuded nobility (i.e. the family was never intoduced at the House of Nobles) begins with a fisherman, Olof Simonsson. He had issue a son, Mikael Agricola, a priest & later bishop, born about 1512 at Torsby, Perno parish, co. Nyland, Finland, died on his was back from Russia 9 April 1558 Kyroniemi village, Nykyrko parish, Finland. He is said to have been married twice, and his second wife, Brita Olofsdotter was alive in 1557. He had issue (by which wife is unknown) a son, Christianus Micha�lis Agricola, born 1551 at �bo, bishop of Reval, ennobled by King Johan III, died 1586, married Elin Fleming, daughter of Per Eriksson Fleming and Margareta Ram. They had issue:

1. Simon Agricola, died 7 September 1605 at the battle of Kirchholm. 1.1. Simon �kerman (Acherman), died 1684, married Margareta Isthmenia. They had issue 6 daughters of whom nothing further is known.
1.2. Christiernus Simonis Agricola, born 1593, cleric, died 1669, married Brita Forssenia (d. 1689), daughter of the vicar of Lojo, co. Nyland, Finland, Sveno Torchilli and the noble Kerstin Munk.
1.2.1. Christiernus Agricola, cleric, died after 1657.
1.2.2. Sven Agricola �kerman, aka. �kermark, ennobled Lejonmark, born 1649, died 1728. He was the progenitor of the introduced family Lejonmark, for which cf. E�.
1.2.3. Kristina Agricola, married 1stly Nicolaus N. Fontelius (d. 1692), and 2ndly Matias Halitzius (b. 1645, died 1704).
1.2.4. Helena Agricola, married Petrus Johannis Valstenius (d. after 1675).
1.2.5. Brita Agricola, married Per K�rling.
1.2.6. Abrahamus Christierni Agricola, born 1656, cleric, died 1706, married Margareta Andreae.
1.2.6.1. Sven Agricola, born Uskela, Finland 1684, died 1759.
1.2.6.2. Anders Agricola.
2. Brita Agricola, married Karl Persson Svinhufvud af Qvalstad (d. 1634)
