This noble family, originating in Germany begins with Georg Krail von Bemebergh who had issue a son Jakob Krail von Bemebergh, a Colonel and Commandant at Ulm. He supposedly married Magdalena von Neipperg (the entry in Europäische Stammtafeln Neue Folge for Neipperg shows a marriage between a von Krell and a Magdalena von Neipperg, though it appears as if this is not the same marriage as here related). Jakob and Magdalena had issue Georg Günther Krail von Bemebergh, died 1 Jan 1641, buried Gryts church. He married 1stly Dorotea Brackel, daughter of the Commandant of Ghent Jobst Eberhard Brackel, and 2ndly Christina von Masenbach (died 23 August 1657, buried Gryts church), daughter of Hans von Masenbach and Margareta von Fronhausen. They had issue:
1. *by 1* Anna Elisabet, died 1689, married 1stly ? Konrad von Tecklenburg (died 1623); and 2ndly about 1635 Colonel David Fredrik von Siegroth (died 1649).
2. *by 1* Gustaf Christian Crail von Bamberg, died before November 1658.
3. *by 2* Hans Jakob Krail von Bamberg, died after 9 November 1661, married Christina Slatte (died 1684), daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Nils Slatte and Carin Soop.

Nils Johan, died 1719 at Möckelhult, bur Fliseryd church, married 1stly Catharina Stråle af Ekna (born 1653, died 1692), daughter of Lieutenant Magnus Stråle af Ekna and Elisabet Sabelsköld; married 2ndly Anna Margareta Castanie (died 1718) daughter of Mikael Castanie and Catharina Sofia von Eichenstein.

3.2.3. ? Catharina Juliana, died childless 1710 Elovshult, Väckelsång parish, county Kronoberg, buried 9 December 1710, married Colonel Johan Christoffer Castanie (born 1675, died 1752).
4. *by 2* Johan Ebbert Crail von Bamberg, died before 11 October 1656.
5. *by 2* Margareta Magdalena, married before 1663 Captain Lars Slatte.
6. *by 2* Catharina Sabina, born 30 March 1633, died 30 January 1682, married 11 June 1660 Peter Danckwardt (born October 1617, died 21 December 1697, buried 12 March 1698 Norrköpinch town church.
7. *by 2* Christina Dorotea, died unmarried December 1719 at Jättna, Gryts parish, county Södermanland.
