An old Norwegian family, it was a member of the Danish nobility and begins with Tord Thorgunnasson, married Birgitte Ketilsdatter af Tjerne. They had issue:
1. Thora, married Eystein Guttormsen Bratt (died after 1533).
2. Guren, married Hr. Johan Krukow til Krogen.
3. Kjeld Tordsen, known 1512, shot 31 July 1532 at Karlsborg, married Agate Asgudsdatter Kamp.
