Clady Presbyterian Church, Ardstraw Parish Marriages 1845-50
Registration District of Strabane (that section within Co. Tyrone)
Extracted from various FHL films of Civil Registration of Marriages in Ireland

Clady congregation seems to have been erected in 1741, the first minister being REV. ALEXANDER MILLER (emigrated to America and settled at Cook’s Creek, Va.) whose successors were REV. WILLIAM CALLANDER, REV. THOMAS KERNAGHAN and REV. JAMES BUDD. Following Mr. Budd’s retirement, the congregation was annexed to 1st Ardstraw Presbyterian Church in 1888

Surviving records of this congregation have been microfilmed by PRONI: Baptisms nil; Marriages 1845-71 (PRONI Ref. MIC.1P/50)

The condition of the original records and quality of filming have made transcription challenging and where possible the Ardstraw tithe applotment books (1833 & 1834) and Griffiths Valuation (1858) have been consulted for confirmation of families and townland addresses.
