The "Irish American Weekly" (1849-1914) had a page devoted to "News from Ireland," with sections for each of the Provinces and sub-headings for the Counties. Irish newspapers were sometimes credited as the source of the news items. Among the Irish papers credited: Tyrone Constitution, Roscommon Messenger, Anglo Celt, Galway Mercury, Galway Packet, Galway Vindicator, Tuam Herald, Belfast News-Letter, Derry Sentinel, Derry Standard, Ulsterman, Tipperary Free Press, Midland Counties Gazette, Down Recorder, Newry Telegraph, Ballyshannon Herald, Dublin, Telegraph, Leinster Express, Waterford News, Waterford Mail, Coleraine Chronicle.

I have endeavored to transcribe accurately, using the punctuation and spelling found in the original.
