9-17-1946 Porter, I got your letter, very glad to hear from you all. I hope you are all better. I have been sick over a week. got a cold & cough the rest is well. Delmas was here last night. If John wants to come, tell him to come when he wants to. You all come. We had a big rain Sunday. Everybody is cutting hay but me. I have got some saved. I think I get only better. I can't sleep at night much. Write soon. Come to see us. Love and best wishes.
