The children of Jonathan and Annie Meggs, as shared by Doug Norwood, are as follows:
SARAH ELIZABETH MEGGS: I show birth date of 3/18/1867, data from Robert Adcock (and your listing) indicates 1861. I suspect the 1861 date is correct - my mother has a family Bible which, I BELIEVE, covers the Meggs side of the family and I'll recheck this at my first opportunity. Sarah married Alex (or Alec) Pope. Snapshot ** is attached. I don't have date of death. [A. Sarah Elizabeth Meggs (died 3/20/34), Alexander Pope (b 12/9/1860, d 2/8/53) - (DougN) 11 Jul 1998] DANIEL SMILEY MEGGS: Born 5/5/1864, married Martilla McCoy. No other information. [A. Daniel S. Meggs (died before 1916) - (DougN) 11 Jul 1998] SOPHRONIA ELLEN ("FRONIE") MEGGS: My grandmother, born 4/22/1886, died 12/30/1935 Married to John Ivan Pressley (6/22/1866 to 2/14/1940) on 2/21/1890. Both buried at Goshen Cemetery, Belmont NC. [Pixs - 3] Attached: ** LUCY JANE ("LOU") MEGGS: I show date of birth 2/28/1869. Married to Thomas Pressley, as yet I haven't determined connection, if any, to my Grandfather's line. No further information. [Pix - 1] ** [See description] [A. Lucy J.
