Unknown how at this time, a SMITH family is tied to the STAFFORD family, perhaps through a relative of Col. William Maner STAFFORD. He purchased the STAFFORD plot in Glenwood Cemetery, Houston, TX, where two of his brothers are buried, as well as a Terry SMITH.

I hope to hear from anyone who might be related to the following people: In Glenwood Cemetery there is a STAFFORD SMITH plot, as well as a STAFFORD plot. Stafford SMITH is related somehow to my STAFFORD family, probably through Terry SMITH (male) who was buried in the STAFFORD plot in Glenwood.

The following people were buried in the STAFFORD SMITH plot:

Josephine Coons SMITH (#11), b. 1911 d. 1990
Stafford SMITH, Jr. (#9), b. 1910 Seguin, TX, d. 1953
Arnold SMITH (#8), b. 1896 Houston, TX, d. 1945 of "heart trouble" according to cemetery record.
Stafford SMITH (#6), b. 1858 TX d. 1913 of "exhaustion" per cemetery record
*Terry Celeste SMITH (#5), b. 1893 d. 1912 of auto accident as stated in cemetery record
