G., Snohomish County in the War: The Part Played in the Great War by the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Patriotic Civilians of Snohomish County, Washington, U.S.A. (: The Mason Publishing Co., Inc. Everett WA,). Lieut. Wellington Rupp, Snohomish Born at Aurora IL. 5 May 1895. Son of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Rupp, Snohomish. Lieutenant Rupp enlisted in the Air Service 26 Jun 1917 at Seattle. He was sent to the School of Military Aeronautics at Berkeley, and later in the year was transferred to the First Foreign Cadet Detachment. He served 23 monts in the A.E.F. as a member of the 2nd Aviation Instruction Center, of the Ecole d'Aviation de Tours, of the 3rd Aviation Instruction Center, of the French Escadrille, at the University of Paris and with the 4th French Army. His promotion from cadet to first lieutenant was dated 13 May 1918. He was made a Reserve Military Aviator 21 Apr 1918. Lieutenant Rupp was injured while in France in an aeroplane accident in the Aisne-Marne operations and in the Champagne. He was discharged at Camp Lewis 28 Aug 1919. Lieutenant Rupp attended high school at Worland, WY; Glendale CA; and Snohomish and was a member of the class of 1918 UW.

May and printed on a small hand press. It was later sold to A. G. Rupp and C. F. Robertson, soon after the first issue. Charles Rupp, a printer and brother of Mr. Rupp, did the typesetting and Tom F. Daggett, an old newspaper man originally from New York, looked after the news and editorial departments.
