Four Quakers Named Thomas Cox

Thomas Cox, abt. 1694-1762, Quaker, of Gloucestershire, England,
Chester County, PA, and Wayne County, NC; mar. Sarah Buzby. He is our ancestor and the subject of my 1989 book A Cox Family History from Thomas Cox, 1694-1762. (Reprint ©2011). Who are his parents?

Information found while researching Thomas & Sarah (Buzby) Cox.

Thomas Cox, 1642-1712, Quaker, Citizen and Vintner of London, England, Proprietor of East Jersey and owner of shares in Pennsylvania land; son of Thomas Cox of Gloucestershire; mar. 1) Ann -?- Ballard; mar. 2) Christian Matthews; mar. 3) Ann Lane Hind. Here is proof he is NOT the ancestor of the Thomas Cox who married Sarah Buzby, he, his sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons DID NOT live in America, and he had NO surviving male descendants named Cox. There possibly was one male Cox descendant named John Cotton, however.

Thomas Cox, b. abt 1689, Quaker, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of Abraham and Sarah (Wolfe) Cox; mar. 1712, Mary Chandler. Mary is named as "cousin" in the will of Thomas Cox, Vintner.

Thomas Cox, abt. 1697-1784, Quaker, of Londongrove, Chester County, Pennsylvania; mar.1)1722, Elizabeth Fincher; mar. 2) abt. 1730, Mary Cooke.
