Henrietta Angelia Hendry, known as "Jeal," daughter of James Madison Hendry and Mary Jane Payne, was born April 17, 1874 in the New Zion community of Manatee County (now Hardee County), Florida. In DeSoto County, Florida on July 4, 1889, she married Burrell Fiveash Roberts, born November 18, 1867, Decatur County, Georgia, son of Henry Carson Roberts and Nancy Norris.

"Burl" was a farmer in the New Zion community and later at Athens, near Fort Meade, Florida. In 1923 they moved to Bowling Green, Hardee County, Florida. Burrell died December 28, 1932. Angelia died July 10, 1954 at Bowling Green. Angelia was a member of Bowling Green Baptist Church. They are buried in New Zion Cemetery, Ona, Hardee County, Florida.

1. Kate Odessa Roberts, born May 27, 1890; died Aug. 26, 1966; married Walter Gill.
2. Homer Roberts, born 1892; died 1939; married Rose Lee Davis.
3. Otis Oscar Roberts, born Dec. 16, 1893; died Aug. 8, 1976, Arcadia, Fla; married Lottie Bell Roberts, daughter of Charles Henry and Mary Ada (Gillis) Roberts.
4. Euliff Ollie Roberts, born March 1, 1896; died Aug. 6, 1980, Wauchula, Fla.; married on June 6, 1921 Rosa Julia Hendry, daughter of Rev. G. Lafayette & Jessie (Keene) Hendry.
5. Mary Alice Roberts, born May 24, 1901; died July 20, 1972; married (1) Richard Anderson; divorced; (2) Reuben Murphy.
6. Steven Payne Roberts, born Sept. 4, 1904; died Aug. 8, 1990, Wauchula, Fla.; married (1) Mona Lamb; divorced; (2) Mary Lou Powell, divorced; (3) Sept. 1966, Bernice Adine Pollock.
7. Burrell Fiveash Roberts, Jr. (B. F), born July 30, 1910; died May 27, 1986, Sarasota, Fla.; married on July 6, 1931 Letha Elizabeth Albritton.

Kate Odessa Roberts, daughter of Burrell Fiveash Roberts and Henrietta Angelia (Hendry) Roberts, was born May 27, 1890, DeSoto County, Florida; died August 26, 1966, probably at Arcadia, Florida; buried in New Zion Cemetery, Ona, Florida. Kate married Walter Gill. Walter was born September 23, 1887; died May 18, 1958, Arcadia, Florida. No issue. They were cattle ranchers.

Homer Roberts, son of Burrell Fiveash Roberts and Henrietta Angelia (Hendry) Roberts, was born 1892, DeSoto County, Florida and died in 1939. He married Rose Lee Davis. Rose was born 1892 and died 1933. They are buried in New Zion Cemetery, Ona, Florida.

They had three daughters: Dosha A. (1916-1992, Mrs. Albert L. Welch), Grace (Mrs. Thomas Dotson), Fairy Pleamon (b. 1928, Mrs. John J. Crawford).

Otis Oscar Roberts, son of Burrell Fiveash Roberts and his wife, Henrietta Angelia (Hendry) Roberts, was born December 16, 1893 in the New Zion community, DeSoto (now Hardee) County, Florida and died August 8, 1976, Arcadia, Florida. Oscar was a Baptist minister and cattle rancher. Inscribed on his tombstone in New Zion Cemetery is: "Rev. Oscar O. Roberts...Baptist Preacher & Evanglist, Teacher-Lecturer-Writer, Recorded in Who's Who, Composer of over 500 Gospel Songs."

He married Lottie Bell Roberts, daughter of Charles Henry and Mary Ada (Gillis) Roberts. Lottie was born March 6, 1896 in the New Zion community, DeSoto (now Hardee) County, Florida and died September 8, 1986, Brownsville community, Arcadia, Florida. Lottie was a homemaker and member of New Zion Baptist Church. She is buried beside Oscar in New Zion Cemetery. Her epitath reads, "Musician, Loving mother, faithful minister's wife." Besides her 3 sons, Lottie was survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

They had four children: a daughter, born & died Dec. 9, 1915; Russell Oscar Roberts (1917-1989); Otis Roberts (1920-1994); Eugene Roberts, who lives near Arcadia, Florida.

Euliff Ollie Roberts, son of Burrell Fiveash Roberts and Henrietta Angelia (Hendry) Roberts, was born March 1, 1896, New Zion community, Ona, Florida; died August 6, 1980, Wauchula, Florida. On June 6, 1921, he married Rosa Julia Hendry, daughter of Rev. G. Lafayette & Jessie (Keene) Hendry. She was born October 22, 1896, Fort Green, Florida; died May 2, 1974. They are buried in Fort Green Methodist Cemetery.

Ollie was a World War 1 veteran, Hardee County Sheriff from 1944-52, citrus grower and buyer. He was a member of the American Legion, BPOE # 1700, Hardee County Cattleman's Association and Fort Green Baptist Church.

They had two sons:
1. Reginald Hendry Roberts, born Feb. 17, 1926, Hardee Co., Fla; died in an automobile accident in Benson, NC on Nov. 15, 1988; buried Fort Green Methodist Cemetery; married on June 8, 1952 Willametta Sue Martin. No issue.
2. Clinton Lafayette Roberts, born Oct. 4, 1928, Hardee Co., Fla. died March 30, 1976; buried Fort Green Methodist Cemetery; married in Nov. 1950 Janice Cole. They divorced

Steven Payne Roberts, son of Burrell Fiveash Roberts and his wife Henrietta Angelia (Hendry) Roberts, was born September 4, 1904 in the New Zion community, Ona, Florida, and died August 8, 1990, Wauchula, Florida, with burial in Antioch Cemetery, Thonotosassa, Florida.

"Steve" lived in rural Bowling Green, Florida where he was a self-employed mechanic and member of Fort Green Baptist Church.

On March 8, 2002, Maxwell C. Roberts reminisced on his father: "Steven Payne Roberts...was an avid hunter and fisherman. He and George Collins of Ft. Meade designed and built the first swamp buggy out of a 1923 Model T Ford truck, which was the forerunner of all the swamp buggies that were used in the Everglades until now....He and Uncle Oscar also help develop the Slow Trail Deer Hunting Techniques, which were used for many years to hunt the Florida Everglades white tail deer. These and other Famous Contributions to our society and the old time Florida heritage history, which has been over looked by many of the modern day historians.

He married (1) Mona Lamb Roberts (1905-1996), divorced; (2) Mary Lou Powell, divorced; (3) Sept. 1966, Bernice Adine Pollock (1912-2002).

He and his (1) wife, Mona Lamb Roberts had three children, all born at Bowling Green:
1. Sharon Arlene Roberts, born Jan. 25, 1928; died Feb. 20, 1988, Wauchula; never married.
2. Norma June Roberts, born Aug. 4, 1930; married Paul W. Farnell (1926-1997).
3. Maxwell Cullen Roberts, born Nov. 21, 1937.

Burrell Fiveash Roberts, Jr., son of Burrell Fiveash Roberts, Sr. and Henrietta Angelia (Hendry) Roberts, was born July 30, 1910 in the New Zion community, Ona, Florida; died May 27, 1986, Sarasota, Florida. At Bowling Green, Florida on July 6, 1931, he married Letha Elizabeth Albritton, born September 24, 1913; died September 27, 2000. They are buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia, Florida.

B. F. was a World War 11 Navy veteran, cattle rancher, vegetable grower and shipper and resident of Arcadia, Florida for 25 years.

They had five children: Iris (Mrs. Merle Marsh Revell), Culley (1934-1935), Carol (Mrs. William Ray Chipman), Nancy (Mrs. David Ford), Garnette (Mrs. Arthur Coulter).
