Over the last couple months I have been reviewing scans of the original U.S. Census Returns at Ancestry.com. I have made spreadsheets that reflected the layout of the Census Returns for each year and recorded my findings on them so that I could have accurate abstracts of the U.S. Census. I have posted them here along with blank forms (on this page) to share them with anyone who has a need for them.

If you are using MS Internet Explorer you can click on the file names and they will open in the browser window. If you are using Netscape or some other type of browser you can do one of two things. You can click on the file name and the browser will give you the option to open the file in MS Excel or another spreadsheet program or save it to your hard drive. Or you can right-click on the file name and save it right to your hard drive.

None of these files are copyrighted so feel free to save a copy for yourself. I have also provide blank spreadsheets formatted for the specific years. Again, these are not copyrighted. Download them for your own use. I hope that you will find these forms helpful.
