John Adam LOEB 1 was born in Germany; came to America a single man; settled in Lehigh County about 1780; married [blank] HONPATER; came with his family to Newport township previous to 1810; married a second time to Anna Mary HUNTSICKER; died in Newport (Honey Pot).  They had:

John LAPE 2 (John Adam 1) was born in Lehigh County, Pa. in 1795; came to Newport with his father previous to 1810; changed the spelling of his name to LAPE; married Sally HIDDLE; lived and died in Newport.  They had: Adam LAPE 2 (John Adam 1) was born in Newport in 1810; changed the spelling of his name to LAPE; married Elizabeth CROOP; lived in Nanticoke (Hanover); died there in 1847.  They had: George LAPE 2 (John Adam 1) was born in Newport in 1814; changed the spelling of his name to LAPE; married Mary GARY; lived in Wilkes-Barre; died in New York in 1874.  They had: Alvin LAPE 3 (Adam 2, John Adam 1) was born in Nanticoke in 1839; married Amelia JAMES; lives in Nanticoke [about 1885].  They had: Dr. Allen A. LAPE 3 (Adam 2, John Adam 1) was born in Nanticoke in 1843; married Frances E. LINE, widow of William LEUDER; lived in Nanticoke; died there in 1884.  They had:
