Leonard PFOUTS 1 was of German descent; lived in Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pa.; married Mary CONOVER (called COVENHOVEN originally).  They had:

Benjamin F. PFOUTS 2 (Leonard 1) was born in Lycoming County in 1809; married Mary Frances SIVELY in Hanover in 1841; lived on the River Road in the old SIVELY homestead; died there in 1874.  They had:

George S. PFOUTS 3 (Benjamin 2, Leonard 1) was born in Hanover in 1842; married 1st, Emma QUICK and 2nd, Adella ECKROTH; lives [about 1885] on the River Road about two miles below Wilkes-Barre.  They had:
