1. John Anderson [1542] [1542] was born in 1740 in Scotland and died in 1794 in Walnut Creek, NC at age 54.

General Notes: The surname Anderson , according to L G Pine, means " Son of Andrew" or
"Servant of St. Andrew", implying devotion to St. Andrew, the patron saint of
Scotland. The Scottish people were Roman Catholic before the Protestant
Reformation and Presbyterian afterward. the Scottish clan Anderson has been organized to nring all Andersons together in a kindred spirit and collect genealogical records and history of it's members. John came to America about
1760. He arrived in Wilmington-Fayetteville, NC area. He had other papers
recorded on page 14 in a manuscripts collection in Raleigh,NC.
