The History Of The McDill Family
I have information on the McDill Family
starting with James McDill to the present day(2019).
this family ties in with the Cummings family through the marriage
of Mary Brown Pope, to Carl E Cummings,Jr.
This is in progress and any help would be appreciated.
Generation No. 1
1. James McDill [131] [131]born ca.1775, died in 1847.
General Notes: James bought a portion of his father-in-law's land and resided there. There is
no record of his parents ,but he was related to the McDonald family of Blackstock
James married Mary Boyd [132] [MRIN: 55], daughter of Robert Boyd [136] and Agnes Robinson [137], on 10 Feb 1803. Mary was born on 1 Oct 1775 and died in 1856 at age 81.
Children from this marriage were:
2 M i. Nathanial Boyd McDill [138] [138] was born in 1805 and died in 1832 at age 27.
3 F ii. Ann McDill [139] [139] was born in 1807 and died in 1895 at age 88.
+ 4 F iii. Margaret McDill [105] [105] was born on 28 May 1810 in Fairfield County, SC, died on 8 Jun 1877 in Fairfield County, SC at age 67, and was buried in Molly Alston Cemetery, Fairfield County, SC.
+ 5 M iv. Robert McDill [140] [140] was born in 1813 and died in 1870 at age 57.
6 M v. Patrick Brown McDill [141] [141] was born in 1815 and died in 1816 at age 1.
7 F vi. Mary Elizabeth McDill [142] [142] was born in 1822 and died in 1887 at age 65.
