Will of Abraham Michau
(son of Abraham)

In the name of God Amen the thirteenth day of August One Thousand Seven Hundred & Seventy Six, I Abraham Michau of South Carolina, Planter, being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given unto God therefore calling to bind the Mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament that is to say Principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul to God that it, & my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian Burial at the discretion of my executors nothing doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the Mighty Power of God and as Touching Such Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life. I give and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. Imprimis it is my desire that after my debts is paid that all my moveable estate shall be equally divided between my three Sons Isaac, Jacob & Manasseh Michau's item I give & bequeath to my well beloved son Isaac the Tract of Land containing four hundred acres being part of the tracts bought of Capt. John Jeanneret adjoining Westerly with a tract that I now live upon & fifty acres tract in the swamp adjoining the above mentioned four hundred acre tract. Also a tract containing one hundred acres of Pine Land adjoining North and Easterly the Tract that I now live on and joining to the south of a tract now in possession of Mr. Oliver Cromwell also a tract of Eleven Hundred and fifty acres on the North side of Cedar Creek that was not will'd by my father but fell to me by Heirship. Item I give and bequeath to my well beloved sons Jacob and Manasseh the Tract of Land that I now live upon to be equally divided between them by lott he that hath the Easterly part is to have the reminder part of the tract containing two hundred & fifty acres of river swamp which I gave his brother Isaac fifty acres out off, and he that hath the Western Part I give and bequeath a tract of River Swamp containing two hundred and thirteen acres adjoining the said tract, and I constitute make and ordain my sons Isaac and Jacob Michau's my sole Executors of this my Last Will & testament and I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other former Testaments Wills Legacies and bequest and executors by me in any ways before named Willed and Bequeathed rectifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament, In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Day and Year first above written.

Signed, Sealed, Published, Pronounced and declared by their said Abraham Michau as his Last Will and Testament in the Presence of us the Subscribers.
