In the late 1930s the licensees of the Raven Inn, Garnant were Henry and Elizabeth Beanland.
Henry was Elizabeth's second husband, the first was Thomas Evans the son of Evan and Rachel Evans
Elizabeth and Thomas Evans were Gareth Morgan's great grandparents.
The Raven is said to be over 200 years old, there is an extensive history on the Cwmamman History site
