Rachel Metz was born on 26 July 1763.2,1 She was the daughter of John Metz and Catherina Hendricks. Samuel Brecht's Genealogy of the Schwenkfelders states that Rachel is the daughter of Samuel Metz and his wife Catherine Boorse. She wasn't; she was Samuel's older sister. Her birth date of 1763, which Brecht gives, makes it impossible for her to be Samuel's child. Her father John died interstate and the children are listed in the records. Rachel Metz married Jacob Beyer, son of Andrew Beyer and Philipina Weyand.1 Rachel Metz and Jacob lived in Norriton Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.2 Rachel Metz died on 5 July 1855 at age 91 years, 11 months and 9 days.2,1
