Jacob was born in 1715 the son of Godshalk Hermans Godshalk and his wife Eva Custer. He was married to
Helena Schrager, had one child, and died in 1798. He made a will on 22 October 1787 and the source for it is:
Jacob Godshalck will (22 October 1787, probated 7 May 1798), Montgomery County Will Book 2:54-55, Register of Wills,

The transcript of the Will read:
Be it Remembered that I Jacob Godshalck of the Township of Perkioming in the County of Montgomey in Pennsylvania
Yeoman being sick and weak in Body but of sound disposing mind and memory and calling to mind the Mortality
of my Body and that it is appointed for all men to die do think fit this twenty second day of October in the
year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty seven to make and ordain this my last will and Testament
the which I do in the following manner and form that is to say

: in the first
Place
it
is my will and I do order that all my just debts and funeral Expenses shall be fully paid and satisfied out of
my Estate

: I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Helena all my Real and personal Estate
except the Twenty four Hour Clock to farm and make use of the plantation to the best of her knowledge for a
maintainance for her yearly and every year during her Widowhood and if she remains my Widow during her natural
life but if she shuld think it troublesome for her to farm the plantation or get it farmed then it is my Will
and I do ordain that my son Godshalk shall farm the plantation and procure or provide for my said wife out of
the same a sufficentcy of all things necfsary for a sufficiant maintainance for my said wife during her Widowhood
all which so given to her is in lieu of her dower.

: I give and device unto my son Godshalck
and unto his heirs and Asfigns forever all my real estate plantation or tract of Land with all he buildings
and improvements thereon or thereunto belonging subject to all the priviledges hjerein given my Wife and it is
further my Will and

: I give and bequeath unto my son Godshalck all my personal estate except
as before excepted to take it in his pofsefsion both real and personal all as his Legacy or portion after my
wife's decease and not before except it be by her consent

: I give and bequeath unto my Grandson
Jacob Godshalick the twenty four hour clock to be given him after my wife's decease and not before except my
wife consents &hereto

: And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my son Godshalck
& my friend Henry Pennypacker Jr. Executors of this my last Will and Testament

: And lastly
I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former Wills and Testaments Legacies and
Executors by me in any wise before named willed or bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be
my last Will and Testament.

Personally
appeared Abraham Yerger the surviving Witnefs to the foregoing Will and being duly affirmed according to law
did say that he was personally present and did see Jacob Godshalk the Testator within named sign and seal
& heard him prounounce and declare the same to be his last Will & Testament and at the doing thereof
he was of a perfect and disposing mind memory & understanding to the best of his knowledge that he
subscribed his name as a Witnefs thereunto at the request of the Testator in his presence and in the presence
of Gerred Godshalck the other subscribing Witnefs who is since deceased.
Be it remembered that on the

day of May 1798 the foregoing Will of Jacob Godshalck deceased was proved in due form of law
and Letters Testamentary granted unto Godshalk Godshalk one of the Executors within named (Sam

Pannebecker having first renounced as renounciation filed with the will) he having been first affirmed well
& truly to perform the same and to render an account according to law. Given under my hand & seal
