When my son and I went to Newcastle the photographic fates conspired against us. The train timetable, the positioning of the trains that were there, and last but certainly not least - the direction, angle and quality of the sunlight - all scuppered decent photography.
Hence this one solitary offering. However it is of now considerable interest as the line is now wired for the running of overhead electrical traction locomotives.
