I well recall this Summer Saturday afternoon when my son and I took a class 50 from Exeter St. Davids to Taunton - having come up from Plymouth earlier in the day.
At this time, around 1984 or 85, Taunton was a bastion of semaphore signalling - all sadly now gone.
