Most of the images on this page were taken on what is known as the Central Wales Line. It is an extremely rural and rugged line and provides a vital connection between many geographically challenged communities.
My favourite places are Blaenau Ffestiniog, huddled beneath huge black slate mountains - it has an amazing atmosphere - and Llandudno - a Victorian seaside resort.
I am afraid I am unable to remember many of the Welsh locations, hence many of the above are not named.
