Family Profiles

In researching the ancestry of my grandparents, the pure genealogy data frequently feels very factual, almost clinical. In contrast, when piecing together information about certain families, my notes have developed a story-like character that feels more personal. So I have begun to put those stories into their own pages on this site.

The Family Profiles are listed at right, and in the Ahnentafel lists below. The pages contain information about our ancestors and their close relatives. In some cases, I explore specific individuals who, though maybe not direct ancestors, led remarkable lives in some way.

Each page contains:

• Lineage - showing the relevant link to one of my grandparents
• Story Board - a narrative of the family and certain individuals. This represents the detailed summary of my notes on a family.
• Family Groups - Parents and children, sometimes multiple generations
• Sources - relevant evidence

Profiles in parenthesis () are future pages I am compiling.

CAUTION: Some of these stories present assumptions of relationships based on circumstantial evidence. Sources are provided and assumptions are explained, but I do not claim 100% accuracy.
