     Alice B. Leonard Obit

Alice B. Leonard 101, of Loveland died April 5, 2005, in Lafayette.
She was born June 15, 1903, in Colfax County, Mich., to Albert and Naomi (Dragoo) Fletcher. She married Jesse Leonard on June 18, 1922, in Longmont.
She was a homemaker. She loved gardening, cooking, her family, the mountains, travel and children.
She was a member of War Mothers, Eastern Star and Pink Ladies. She lived in Loveland from 1908 to 1922 and from 1977 until her death.
She is survived by two sons, Duane Leonard and Kenneth Leonard, both of Boulder; two daughters, Dorene Leonard of Loveland and Rose Marie Dale of Corvallis, Mont.; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Leonard; three brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Olon Lindemood officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Boulder.
Memorial contributions can be made to First United Methodist Church, 533 N. Grant, Loveland, 80537.
Arrangements were handled by Darrell Howe Mortuary and Crematory, Lafayette.

Alice Barbara Leonard, of Loveland, formerly of Boulder, died of natural causes Tuesday, April 5, 2005, in Lafayette. She was 101.
The daughter of Albert Fletcher Naomi Dragoo Fletcher, she was born June 15, 1903, in Colfax County, Mich. She married Jesse Arlo Leonard on June 18, 1922, in Longmont. She lived in Boulder from 1922 to 1977.
Mrs. Leonard was a member of Deborah Circle at First United Methodist Church of Boulder. She was a volunteered at Boulder schools, helping children with reading, and as a Pink Lady at Boulder Community Hospital.
She enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking and family gatherings. "She was inspirational," her family said. "Her family loves her. She will be greatly missed."
Survivors include two sons, Duane A. Leonard and Kenneth R. Leonard; two daughters, Dorene J. Leonard and Rose Marie Dale; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and three brothers.
Services were Friday in Loveland. Interment was in Mountain View Memorial Park in Boulder.
Darrell Howe Mortuary in Lafayette was in charge of arrangements.

Mounds, IL.-- Verlie Ray Brown, 86 of Mounds died Monday, Feb. 8 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

E-mail letter from Thelma Renshaw dated July 14, 2000. I am a Niece of Verlie Brown of Mounds, IL. He was married to Helen Prather. They had one child, Delmar Ray, who died at about 40 years old. Helen is working full time at 86 years old.
