Mrs John Laddusaw died at an early hour Wednesday morning at the residence of her son, William Laddusaw, in Union township. Her death was caused by strangulated hernia. About a week ago Mrs. Laddusaw fell on the door step, fracturing one of her ribs and was injured internally. The deceased, whose maiden name was Ruthema Sharmon, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. If she had lived until February next she would have attained the great age of eighty-three years. When nineteen years of age she was united in marriage with John Laddusaw, of Dearborn county, Indiana, in Hamilton county, Ohio. He survives her. To them nine children were born, only two of them are living, a daughter, Mrs. Mitchell, who lives in Arkansas, and William Laddusaw, with whom the aged couple have made their home for many years.
They were among the earliest settlers of Plymouth county, coming here thirty-two years ago.
Mrs. Laddusaw was well known and liked and was generally known as "Grandma" Laddusaw through the country side.
The funeral cortege will leave the house this morning at 10 o'clock and the services will be held at the Presbyterian church in Union township at 11 o'clock.
