John was in 1769 GF militia, had 3 adults and 2 children on 1778 GF relief. Was on 1790 Herkimer census (i male over 16, 1 male under 16, 2 females). On 1800 census 3 boys and 1 girl. He held Dietrich Demuth's Burnetsfield lot heirs. The heirs named in the will were "sons of Christian Sillepaugh." (Will Book B, Surrogate's office Herkimer, NY p. 224).

Schuyler.(5) Born before 1745; He was adjutant of Bellinger's revol. Regiment. In his will dated 1788, he calls himself "George Deamewood" and names wife Hannah and grown daughters, Gertrude and Catherine, plus (minors) Anna, Elizabeth, Maria and Margret. Also named were "eldest son George, second son Nicholas, third son John, fourth son Richard and yougest son, Peter." [Montgomery Co. Will Book #1 (1787-1810), Surrogates Office, Fonda, NY.] Lived during Revolution on N. side of Mohawk between Little Falls and W. Canada Creek. Follow link to George's line.
14. vi Marcus DEMUTH b. CIR 1743, Long Island (DAR, v. 16 p. 8), m. Catherine. Sgt. in 1769 GF militia and Captain of Rangers in Bellinger's Regiment He was shot in the arm and taken prisoner at German Flatts in 1780. Marc had 5 adults and 6 children on the 1778 GF relief and was on the 1790 Herkimer Census (3-2-3), near Deerfield area of Reigel and Weavers.
