Anna: Anna Catharina Demuthin made her first appearance on the [Gov] Hunter Subsistence Lists #119 1 July 1710 with 4 pers. over 10 years of age in the household; on 31 Dec 1710 the family was noted with 3 persons over 10 years, and the head of the household was recorded as Johann Georg Demuth. A Henrich Hoffmann and a Gr. Demuth were listed together 24 June 1712, and this entry may pertain to the Hunter list #119. The children of Alexander and Anna Catherina Demuth follow [Henry Z. Jones, Palatine Families of New York, Universal City, CA, 1985 p. 145] a widow, pr. of Alexander DEMUTH, she was on NY Palatine subsistence list in 1710 (4A,OY) and 1712 (4A,OY) with son George. (see, Early Families of Herkimer, NY, page 53).

4. iii Johann Jost DEMUTH b. Ca 1700, Runkel an Lahn, Germany.1 a patentee on the n. side of the Mohawk 30 April 1725 (Burnetsfield Patent). A Johan Jost Demut was in Capt. Mark Petry's Co. 26 Feb 1757 (Report of the State Historian, Vol II p. 782. [Henry Z. Jones, Palatine Families of New York, Universal City, CA, 1985, p. 146]

Johann died Bef 20 Jan 1721, Dutchess, NY.1 married 26 Oct 1714 Margaretha Dofp (West Camp Luth. Churchbook). Juryan Tymot was nat. 8 and 9 Sept 1715 (Kingston Nats.). Georg Demuth, his wife and Ch. were at Heessberg ca. 1716/17 (Simmendinger Register). Jurie De Mont was enrolled in the North Ward in 1717/18 and continued until 20 Jan 1720/21 when the Widow of Jurie Demonth was registered (Dutchess Co. Tax Lists). His widow (Anna) Margaretha md. 2nd Philip Salomon Flegeler. [Henry Z. Jones, Palatine Families of New York, Universal City, CA, 1985, p. 145]

8. iv Johann Peter DEMUTH b. 25 Mar 1720, Rhinebeck, NY. A Peter Demoet was sponsor at Rhinebeck Flats Ref. Church in 1746 and 1748. Sponsors for his own baptism were Peter Topp and Ursulla Weidmann.

3. Dieterich DEMUTH b. Ca. 1696, Germany,⁽³⁾ m. Gertrude PETRIE.

Dieterich died Aft 1743, German Flatts, Herkimer, NY.3 pr b. ca. 1695 to 1699 (confirmed at Queensburg 23 Mar 1712, [West Camp Luth. Chbk]);She was liv in 1742 (Ger. Flatts Luth. Church list, page 61 of Book of Names); pr. m. a Gertrude (her name guess based on descendent naming patterns, ps a Petrie judging from names of supposed children) In 1723 a "Tegrigh Temouth" got Burnetsfield lot #17 and he was pr. married by then (30 Apr. 1725) as his lot was in the "heads of household" area.

10. ii Johannes DEMUTH b. Ca. 1728, m. 25 Nov 1766, in Stone Arabia (RDSA:179), Elizabeth FOLTS, b. CIR 1741, d. 26 Jun 1816, AT age 66?. Johannes died 17 Nov 1810, Herkimer, NY. John was in 1769 GF militia, had 3 adults and 2 children on 1778 GF relief. Was on 1790 Herkimer census (i male over 16, 1 male under 16, 2 females). On 1800 census 3 boys and 1 girl. He held Dietrich Demuth's Burnetsfield lot heirs. The heirs named in the will were "sons of Christian Sillepaugh." (Will Book B, Surrogate's office Herkimer, NY p. 224).

13. v George DEMUTH b. Cir 1740,⁽⁴⁾ occupation Farmer/Adjutant in Revol., m. 1766, Anna WEAVER, d. Ca 1792. George died CIR 1789, Ft. Schuyler.⁽⁵⁾ Born before 1745; He was adjutant of Bellinger's revol. Regiment. In his will dated 1788, he calls himself "George Deamewood" and names wife Hannah and grown daughters, Gertrude and Catherine, plus (minors) Anna, Elizabeth, Maria and Margret. Also named were "eldest son George, second son Nicholas, third son John, fourth son Richard and yougest son, Peter." [Montgomery Co. Will Book #1 (1787-1810), Surrogates Office, Fonda, NY.] Lived during Revolution on N. side of Mohawk between Little Falls and W. Canada Creek. Follow link to George's line.

14. vi Marcus DEMUTH b. CIR 1743, Long Island (DAR, v. 16 p. 8), m. Catherine. Sgt. in 1769 GF militia and Captain of Rangers in Bellinger's Regiment He was shot in the arm and taken prisoner at German Flatts in 1780. Marc had 5 adults and 6 children on the 1778 GF relief and was on the 1790 Herkimer Census (3-2-3), near Deerfield area of Reigel and Weavers.
