Juanita Chloe (Austin) Hall (2 December 1921 - 23 April 2002)
Juanita Chloe (Austin) Hall, 80, Stillwater, died Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at
Stillwater Medical Center.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at Strode
Chapel. Revs. Hugh Wayman and Mark Jones will officiate. Interment
will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are under
the direction of Strode Funeral Home.
Hall was born Dec. 2, 1921, in Liberty, Mo., to Robert Dee and Okla
Pearl (Cawood) Austin. She moved to Stillwater at an early age and
attended Stillwater schools. She graduated from Stillwater High School
in 1940. She married her high school sweetheart, James Edsel Hall,
Oct. 31, 1939.
She traveled with her husband while he was in the Marines during World
War II. They returned to Stillwater in 1946, where they farmed until
1951. Her husband entered the ministry of the Free Methodist Church
and pastored in various places in Oklahoma. They were currently living
on the family farm near Stillwater and pastoring at the Free Methodist
Church in Tryon. She was a dedicated Christian and a dedicated mother
and grandmother. She liked to travel with her husband and with the
Good Sam Group of Stillwater. She also enjoyed sewing for her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, David Edsel Hall; and a
grandson, Donlee Austin Hall.
Hall is survived by her husband; two sons, Danford Austin Hall,
Tallahassee, Fla., and James Daryl Hall and wife Marie, Sand Springs;
daughter, Deanita Sue Sitton and husband Robert, Stillwater;
daughters-in-law, Ellen Hall, Oklahoma City, and Patricia Hall,
Federal Way, Wash.; nine grandchildren, Diana Stratz, Yukon, Martin
Hall, Corn, Stephanie Powley, Verden, Donavan Hall, Tallahassee, Fla.,
Jeremy Hall, Sand Springs, Magdalene Hall, Sand Springs, Deanita
Henry, Oklahoma City, Cpl. Robert Sitton III, San Diego, Calif. and
Richard Sitton, Stillwater; six great grandchildren; one sister,
Ercell Davis and husband Bob, Broken Arrow; and sister-in-law, Ruth
F. Martin, Stillwater.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Michael Stratz, Martin Hall, Gerald
Powley, Donavan Hall, Jeremy Hall, Everett Henry, Cpl. Robert Sitton
III and Richard Sitton.
