Nauvoo and Carthage

These places are great, and it is so exciting to have the Temple completed. (We were there right after they announced the construction.) There are dozens of places to visit in Nauvoo, with delightful missionaries demonstrating the old way of life. The Visitors' Center is very nice, and there is a wonderful Spirit permeating the entire place. This is where the Saints prospered!

which adorned and will adorn again the Temple.

Richard and me at the banks of the Mississippi River.
This is where the Saints were forced to cross when they were driven out.

There's a very nice tour and visitors' center at Carthage Jail.

This is the famous door to the room where the Martyrdom took place.
The bullet holes are still there.
