Death came suddenly and peacefully to Mrs. M. V. Robinson last Thursday while visiting in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alice Cummings, at Tabor, Ia. She had been in unusually good health up to within a few hours of her death, when stricken suddenly with a paralytic stroke. It was a great shock to her many friends in Glenwood when the word of her passing away reached here, for Mrs. Robinson was a woman who made many friends who held her friendship very dear.

Lived Beautiful Life As A Devoted Mother, Ever Faithful to Her Church, and Is Mourned By Many
She was of a quiet, unassuming nature, a woman of cultured refinement who instinctively appealed to the better qualities in human nature. She was a devoted member of the First Congregational church of this city, which she supported in all of its activities and her place will long remain vacant in the body of its membership, for persons of her character and devotion to its cause are all too few.
Funeral services were hels from the church Sunday at 11 a. m., Rev. Thomas Evans officiating. He built a very beautiful and fitting tribute to her memory, upon the biblical phrase "I bow down to mourn the death of my mother." Mr. A. D. French spoke briefly upon behalf of the church, concluding with the following life sketch:
Larooka S. McWethy, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry McWethy, was born February 18, 1847, at Franklinville, Cattaraugus County, N. Y., and died September 18, 1919, at tabor, Ia., aged 72 years and 7 months, the last surviving of nine children.
She was married to M. V. Robinson September 10, 1867, br the Rev. Mr. McKinly, at Moscow, N. Y., and soon after moved to Dixon, Ill., where they made their homeuntil the spring of 1885, then mving to Wassington, S. D.
In 1893 they again moved to Dixon, Ill., where Mr. Robinson passed away September 12, 1894. In November, 1898, she moved with her three youngest daughters to Glenwood, Ia., where she spent the rest of her life, except for long visits the last few years among her daughters.
Six daughters live to mourn the loss of this mother--Mrs. Lillie Mogridge of Glenwood; Mrs. Amy Baker or Mountain View, Mo.; Mrs. Mae McCurdy of Tama, Ia.; Mrs. Myrtle Rogers of Columbia Falls, Mont.; Mrs. Alice Cummings of Tabor, Ia., and Mrs. Beth Byerly of Petersburg, Neb.
Relatives from a distance present at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John McCurdy, Tama, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cummings and child, Tabor, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Byerly and daughter Larooka, of Petersburg, Neb., and Edwin Mogridge, from school at Lincoln, Neb.".

My father changed his name from Henry Thomas Rogers to Thomas Henry Rogers because he was always known as Tom.
