Edmund Quincy of Wigsthorpe, Northamptonshire, m. Ann Palmer, Oct. 14, 1593. Their son Edmund was baptized May 30, 1602. He m. July 14, 1623, Judith Pares, and lived on his estate at Achurch, near Wigsthorpe. . . . W. H. W.

Edmund and Judith Quincy came from England with Rev. John Cotton, and arrived in Boston, Sept. 4, 1633. He was a freeman, 1634, deputy to the General Court, May 14, 1634, and received a grant of land at Mount Wollaston in 1635, where he died soon after, aged 33. Issue:
I. Judith, b. 1626, m. 1647, John Hull, died June 22, 1695, leaving issue, Hannah, who m. Samuel Sewall.
II. Edmund, b. 1627, m. first, Joanna Hoar, sister of Leonard Hoar, President of Harvard College, by whom he had,

Daniel Quincy, eldest son, m. Ann, dau. of Rev. Thomas Shephard, Nov. 8, 1682, and d. Aug. 10, 1690.* He had a son John, the Subscriber, who m. Elizabeth, daughter of Rev. John Norton of Hingham. He was b. 1689, was Speaker of the House, and was a member of the council for forty years; he died 1767. . . .".
