"V. EXPERIENCE HYDE (217), born at Norwich, Conn,, 30 July, 1724, the second daughter of John Hyde (33) and Sarah Haskins, was a granddaughter of John Hyde (5) of the third generation. She m. 1 Feb., 1748, Benjamin Waterman, b. 2 May, 1726, at Norwich, the second son of Daniel Waterman and Mary Gifford of Norwich.
[This Daniel Waterman, b. 2 Oct., 1701, at Norwich, who m. 26 June, 1723, Mary Gifford for his first wife, and Elizabeth Haskell, 20 April, 1763, for his second wife, and d. 7 March, 1773, was the fourth son of Ensign Thomas Waterman the second, and Elizabeth Allyn, of Norwich, and was a grandson of Thomas Waterman the first, and Mirriam Tracy, of Norwich. See No. 40 and 210.]
Benjamin Waterman and wife settled in the New Concord society, now Bozrah.
Their children were:

1008. Hannah, b. 5 Feb., 1756, at Norwich. She probably m. 7 Feb., 1782, Martin Dewey, at Bozrah.
1009. Mary, b. 29 May, 1758, at Norwich. She m. 17 July, 1785, Calvin Bennet, and d. 14 Feb., 1798, at Bozrah.
1010. Elizabeth, b. 12 Jan., 1761, at Norwich, d. 5 Oct. 1775.
1011. Anne, b. 25 May, 1763, at Norwich. She probably m. Oct., 1787, Roger Abel, at Lebanon.".
