"JOHN Dodge6 (3937), b. in Wenham or Brookfield, Mass., Oct. 10, 1754; went to New Marlboro before Apr., 1775, where he m. Abigail Ross, who was b. Nov. 17, 1744. She was adopted at an early age by Miss Hannah Blackmore of New Marlboro, and d. there the 10th or 20th of October, 1827. He is said by a granddaughter to have served in the Revlolution, which is confirmed by the Archives of Massachusetts in six or more places. He d. Aug. 14, 1814, and is burried at Mill River, New Marlboro. Children:
