URL = http://genforum.genealogy.com/reade/messages/71.html The gist of this lengthy letter is that there were two William Read(e)s living in Weymouth. This fact was not discovered until about 1914. The one who married Susanna Hayme lived in Weymouth 1635-1646. This one marrying Avis (Chapman) did not arrive until about 1653 and he died there in about 1658.
Because the one who married Susanna was the only one active in city government and had parents who were involved in government I believe that that William was the son of William Read and Lucy Heneage.
