"2. JOHN2 GUILD, (John1), son of John and Elizabeth (Crooke) Guild, was born at Dedham, Massachusetts, on 29 November 1649. He was baptized there on 2 December 1649. He died 24 January 1722/23 in his 72nd year and was buried at the Centre Cemetery in Wrentham, Massachusetts.[45] He married at Dedham on 22 May 1677 SARAH FISHER[46] who was born at Dedham on 27 October 1658, daughter of Anthony and Joane (Faxon) Fisher.[47] She was living on 11 January 1714/5 but probably not on 6 February 1717 (see below).

BETHIAH3 GUILD, born 4 Oct. 1768;[58] living at Attleborough, Mass., 15 April 1735;[59] married at Wrentham 7 Jan, 1702/3 Samuel Lean or Sears,[60] but he was actually SAMUEL LANE.[61] No children of a Smuel Lean or Sears with wife Bethia(h) appear in online databases such as Family Search and WorldConnect, but Samuel Lane and wife Bethiah had at least three children at Dorchester, Mass., in 1707, 1711, and 1713.[62] Samuel was born at Hingham, Mass., 16 March 1677/8, son of John and Mehitable (Hobart) Lane,[63] and died at Attleborough, Mass., 7 or 17 Dec. 1726, leaving a widow Bethiah as well as sons John and Ebenezer who all agreed on the division of the real estate on 15 April 1735.[64] See this author's article on this family in The American Genealogist, vol. 83 (2009).
ii. SARAH GUILD, born 30 Oct. 1680;[65] died at Wrentham 7 Dec. 1682.[66]
iii. SARAH GUILD, born 2 June 1683;[67] died 30 July 1757 in her 75th year, as widow Perry, said to be formerly wife of Capt. Robert Blake; buried in the Centre Cemetery at Wrentham;[68] married (1) at Wrentham 7 Jan. 1702/3 ROBERT BLAKE, the same day her sister Bethiah married.[69] Capt. Robert Blake, born ca. 1675, son of John and Bridget (___) Blake,[70] diedat Wrentham 4 Oct. 1735 in his 60th year and was buried in the Centre Cemetery there.[71] Sarah married (2) at Wrentham 30 March 1738 NATHANIEL PERRY.[72] This cannot be Nathaniel Perry of Rehoboth, eldest son of Nathaniel and Sarah (Carpenter) Perry, born there 2 April 1691, died there 13 Aug. 1768.[73]

v. JOANNA GUILD, born 4 Nov. 1687[/8][81] married at Wrentham 12 May 1715 SAMUEL KINGSBURY of Dedham,[82] born at Dedham 4 Nov. 1690, son of Eleazer and Esther (Judson) Kingsbury,[83] died at Walpole "on the Plain"[84] June 1744, called Deacon.[85]

JOHN GUILD, born 7 Oct. 1690;[86] died at Wrentham 28 Jan. 1762 in his 72nd year;[87] married (1) at Wrentham 21 June 1711 MERCY FOSTER,[88] born Salem, Mass., 15 July 1689,[89] died 3 May 1730 in her 42d year and was buried at the Centre Cemetery in Wrentham,[90] daughter of John and Mary (Stuard0 Foster;[91} married (2) at Wrentham 2 March 1731/2 PHEBE MAN,[92] born 16 Feb. 1705/6, daughter of Theodore and Abigail (Hawes) Man.[93] She died at Wrentham, called widow of John, 11 May 1790 "in her 47th y." and was buried in the Centre Cemetery there where the gravestone says "May 7, 1790 in her 85th y.,"[94[ which is much more likely.

viii. JUDITH GUILD, born 19 Sept. 1697;[96] died 22 Nov. 1774 in her 77th year; buried Oakland Cemetery on Glebe St. in Taunton;[97] married at Wrentham 16 June 1720 NATHANIEL BRIGGS,[98] born at Taunton about 1698, died 14 Aug. 1773 or 1775 in his 75th year, buried at Oakland Cemetery there.[99]
ix. EBENEZER GUILD, born 9 Sept. 1700; baptized as "Eleazer" 13 Oct. 1700;[100] died at Wrentham 3 Sept. 1701.".

He married (first) June 11, 1711, Mercy Fister, who died May 3, 1730. He married (second) March 22, 1732, Phebe Mann, born February 16, 1706, died May 7, 1790, daughter of Theodore and Abigail (Hawes) Mann. Children of the first marriage: John, born November 23, 1712; Joseph, August 17, 1714; Benjamin, April 12, 1717; Mercy, April 6, 1719; Esther, September 20, 1721; Ebenezer, mentioned below. Children of second marriage: Timothy, born January 15, 1733; Samuel April 21, 1734; Daniel, September 30, 1736; Abigail, September 16, 1739; Phebe, February 8, 1742; Mary, October 23, 1743.".
