After Katherine's death, Edward married, second, probably in 1650, Abigail (Firmage/Vermais) Button, widow of Robert Button (Thomas Hutchinson, 2:464), and daughter of _____ and Alice (Blessing) Firmage. She was born probably at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England, about 1622, and died at Boston 10 August 1689 (New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, 45[1914]:166-7). By her first husband, Abigail had children Samuel, Abigail, Hannah, and Sarah Button, named in the will of their father (Suffolk County [Mass.] Wills [Baltimore, 1984], 109, 120-1).
