"11 CAPTAIN JOHN TYLER (Moses), born in Rowley Village, Mass., September 14, 1669; died June 17, 1756; married, November 14, 1695, Annie Messenger, of Boston; bom about 1676; died February 11, 1745. He enlisted and served for five months in King William's War, in 1688, and he was the second of Job's descendants to bear arms, but he is believed to have acquired his title of Captain as Master Mariner on a merchant ship, and is said to have spent twenty years on the ocean.
