"4 JOHN1 EATON (ThomasA-B, JohnC) was baptized at Hatton, county Warwick, England, on 26 December 1590. He died in Haverhill, Massachusetts, on 29 October 1668. He married first about 1620 ANNE -----, who died at Haverhill on 5 February 1660. He married secondly at Haverhill on 20 November 1661 PHEBE (-----) DOW, widow of Thomas1 Dow of Haverhill; she died on 3 November 1672 (David W. Hoyt, Old Families of Salisbury and Amesbury [Providence, R.I., 1897-1919], hereafter Hoyt's Old Families, 147).
John1 Eaton immigrated to Salisbury, Massachusetts, about 1640.1 His will, dated 6 August 1660 and probated 13 2m [April] 1669, mentions "present wife" [name not given]; sons Thomas and John; daughters Browne, Davis, and Ingalls; son[-in-law] James Davis; son Browne; three daughters, Ann, Elizabeth, and Ruth; daughter Ruth Ingalls; son[-in-law] George Browne (Probate Records of Essex County, Massachusetts, 3 vols.
