Genealogy, et Cetera

This site contains various scraps of genealogical data concerning my ancestry. My goals are to discover and publish these aspects of my ancestry:

1. The furthest discoverable extents of my ancestral origins
2. The other descendants of those ancestors -- my cousins
3. The connections -- intermarriages -- between these relations
4. Noted personalities among my relations, both ancestors and cousins
5. Special coincidences connecting people who may not be related to each other, but are both related to me: Rencontres

This is very much a work-in-progress. You will find lots of incomplete sections. I do try to avoid creating dead links, though. If you find any, don't hesitate to report them to me.

While I do make an honest effort to avoid posting erroneous or fictional data here, it is obviously impossible for me to have personally verified each individual fact. I rely on sources that I consider reliable and avoid those that seem to have been, um, careless with their researches. Nevertheless, error will inevitably worm its way onto these pages. I cast it out whenever I find it, and I am grateful to my readers who point it out to me.

If you are looking for something specific, consider using the site search at the bottom of most pages.  It is quite fast, and runs off a comprehensive index of all the pages on my site. I re-index the site as required, after significant changes or additions.

• Celebrities, et Cetera! — Lists all my known ancestor or other relations of fame and notoriety. Eventually, each will have his/her own page, complete with thumbnail biography and a link farm of pointers to other relevant sites around the net. Pedigrees are sometimes given, connecting the subject to me.
• WorldConnect — A RootsWeb service. I have placed only my ancestry here. The link will show my pedigree to seven generations. Additional generations can be viewed by following the little "=>" links at the ends of the lines. Click on a name for individual detail.

  I have initiated^* *Changed:
  Apr 2015 the replacement of the now defunct GenCircles with WorldConnect as my Annex. Each page that you see in ODTs, i.e. every of my families, will also be in WorldConnect. Eventually! I say that because the new Annex pages are composed as part of my regular ODT change process, so they will eventually all be done by attrition.
