Remarks upon Poetry, with Characters and Censures of the most considerable Poets (1694),
dealing with poetry as an art,
types of poetry,
and the poetry of England, France, Italy, and Spain;
and,
Essays on Several Subjects (1692),
a collection of essays on such subjects as self-interest, popery, and the dangers of learning.
