Owner: NY Giants Baseball Team (1902-1912)
John bought the NY Giants club in 1902,
selling his Cincinnati franchise.
The new owner took box 66, opposite first base.
The stadium was called Brush stadium
until it was renamed the Polo Grounds ca 1920.
He was asked to draw up plans for a post-season series,
which he did, and that became the World Series in 1905.
He led his Giants to the Fall Classic in that year,
facing Connie Mack's Philadelphia Athletics.
Brush's Giants shut out the Athletics four to one.
