HEMINGWAY, Margaux [1955-1996] -- American model and actress
Contents: |
née HEMINGWAY, Margot Byra
Model and film acress with a stellar future, she lost it all to booze and pills within a decade. Perhaps she couldn't deal with her younger sister's greater talent and success.
In any case, she lived alone in a studio apartment, with two failed marriages, no children, no lover, few friends. When neighbors informed police that she had not been seen for days, they entered through a 2nd floor window. Dental records had to be used to confirm her identity.
The L.A. coroner's office concluded that she had killed herself by taking an overdose of a sedative.
She was the fifth person in her family to commit suicide.
